Parish Committees 

Parish Council: Three "at-large" representativs from the parish, one replaced annually through election. Representatives from St. Vincent de Paul, the Ladies' Club, the Director of Religious Education, the maintenance committee, and the finance committee, in addition to the clergy, all gather monthly to guide the course of the parish through information and idea-sharing

Those with interest in, or desire to learn, about creating and maintaining good liturgical practices designed to elicit faith response. Liturgical themes and celebrations throughout the church year are planned. In this area would also be seasonal church decorations, flowers, Christmas and Easter decorations, help in maintaining the sacred vessels used at Mass, alter linens, changing sanctuary colors, etc.

Our annual fiesta - a community and area-wide gathering to celebrate our cultural roots. (At one time, SMDP was 100% Spanish-speaking, now a welcoming cultural blend of Catholics from Mexico, Latin America, all over the United States, Europe, and even the Asian continent. Decorations, canopy set-ups, food booths, ticket sales, money-counting, publicity, entertainment., and a variety of things that help us raise thousand of much - needed dollar for various projects during the year celebrates these roots.
