It’s “Christmas in July” once again. The Christmas tree will be up for 2 consecutive Sundays the 6th and 13th of July. Please take an angel from the tree and either donate the dollar amount or the number of items listed. All donations go to our RE program. Thank you for your generosity. May 11
May is the Month of Mary and we will be praying a rosary in her honor every Sunday of May at 10:30 before Mass. Mayo es el Mes de María y estaremos rezando un rosario en su honor cada domingo de mayo a las 10:30 antes de Misa.
Town of Sahuarita is joining the state-wide food collection for the week of the 4th and the 11th of May. We are asking that everyone bring food items to San Martín de Porres or any building in the Town of Sahuarita complex, (police dept, court, etc.) After every item has been collected, counted and weighed, all food items collected in this area will be donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank at San Martín de Porres. The Ladies Club will be serving a breakfast today after Mass. For $4.00 you have a choice of French Toast with sausage or an Omelete with sausage, fruit and drinks included. Registration for returning RE students will be held in the church on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during regularly scheduled RE class times, except for the week of April 13 through the 19 and Saturday April 26 and Sunday 27. Lent begins this week on Ash Wednesday and we will be celebrating Mass and distributing ashes at 7:00 in the evening. The church will also be open all day for Worker’s Ashes for those who work and are unable to attend Mass. Members of St. Vincent De Paul wish to thank everyone for your January donations of food items (127 lbs. of food) and also for supporting the bake sale which brought in $767.00. Southwest Medical Aid is sponsoring a mission trip to deliver medical supplies to clinics in Coban, Guatemala. This ten day trip, Saturday February 23 to Monday, March 3 will cost $995 and is tax deductible. The cost includes accommodations, all meals, bilingual guides and local transportation.
